This is a custom engine intended to run on methanol but can be modified to run gasoline or any other needs you may have. Actual pricing will of course depend upon options selected, so the final appearance may vary as can be seen in the photos. The primary standard differences between this full race version and its more streetable 2,500 hp sister are the engine management system (Emtron vs. Holley Dominator) and the head gaskets. Copper head gaskets with O-rings are used to more reliably handle high levels of boost, but they do require ongoing maintenance. The Emtron system is explained down below.
We originally built the engine in this ad's video in a street-capable configuration. It was modified to track-only in its second season (Emtron engine management system, copper head gaskets, O-rings, etc.). Our dyno is rated to 2,500 hp so we weren't able to run this engine up to the boost level it was designed to handle. The customer was able to get his Camaro on a hub dyno and aired it out. Running 44 psi boost, he hit 2,737hp at the wheels as reported by Muscle Cars & Truck.
