RacingJunk Pro Club Members get value points on the initial sign up as well as and when membership is renewed. These points are like money to spend on your listings, and can be used for upgrades including feature, premier or repost functions. Annual Pro Club RacingJunk members will receive 6500 ($65) points each year, Monthly Pro Club RacingJunk members will receive 500 ($5) each month. Each point is worth $.01, so $10 worth of value points = 1,000 value points. Value points are only available to Pro Club RacingJunk Members and Businesses.
Of course not! We love all visitors. You can browse the site, search listings and contact sellers without being a member, although even free Basic Membership has some great benefits to members, including a secret decoder ring (just kidding). If you do want to post listings (and you know you do! you must have something in that garage!) you can become a Basic member for free and post up to 2 listings with no charge.
You can change your username, password, and the associated email address with your account so that it will appear as a new account, but we can't cancel accounts as they are kept for historical purposes.
Ohhhh noooo, don't go!! If you really have to, we will miss you! Cancelling is easy, just send an email to [email protected] or call 1-413-663-3496. We will send an email confirmation upon cancellation.
Although your membership gives you added perks when placing a listing, they are not mutually exclusive. If your membership expires, your listing does not. If your listing expires, your membership does not. If you do not want to continue getting charged after your listing has been taken down, then contact us to cancel your membership by emailing us at [email protected] or call us at 866-326-9227.

Protecting items that are originally owned by others is our number one concern when it comes to the posting of listings, if you don't own the rights to post the item, don't post it. There are guidelines that clearly state our policies on copywriter infringements which can be found here.
Once you sell your item (Congrats!!!) you will want to go to Manage Listings and in Active Listings find your listing and mark it as sold. You will be given the option to make an Honor Payment at that time. You also have the option of Deleting your listing in Manage Listings. Your listing will remain on the site for the length of time selected during the posting process if it is not deleted or sold and will be removed automatically when that time has expired.
If your Premiere listing does not have a picture, it will not show as a Premier listing so you will want to add a picture to your listing. Pictures increase your chances of selling your listing immensely. Our Pro Club members receive 50 pictures per listing for FREE! Also includes a free video which always helps in the sales process.
To add a picture to your listing, you would go to Manage Listings in your account, then click EDIT MEDIA and then BROWSE for a picture on your phone or computer. Once you find a file and click OPEN, the picture will start uploading. When you see the picture on the listing scroll down and click SAVE CHANGES. The listing will display your image correctly and then be able to show in the PREMIER section of the site.

You can repost an expired listing by going to your account and clicking on "Expired Listings". (Deleted or Expired listings remain in the database for 90 days.) You can automatically repost your listing in blocks of 4 weeks by clicking on "Repost". If you don't want to use our automatic service you can click on "Post a Listing" to recreate a new one.
You may add additional text to a listing by logging in and clicking "My Listings". Then click EDIT TEXT. Please note that you cannot change the original text of the listing. This is a security function of the site. You would need to delete the listing and post a new one in its place in order to change the original description.
There are two ways to refresh a listing and get it bumped up to the front:
1. Use the Re-posting option, which posts the listing back to the front. This option has a $20.00 service fee, but you can your value points to cover this. You may get to that by logging into your account and clicking on "My Listings", then EXPIRED listings and REPOST. If you use this option, your listing will be posted back to the front and be extended for an additional 4 weeks.
If your listing is not expired yet, you can login and click "My Listings" then UPGRADE and select REPOST.
If your listing has expired, you can login and click "My Listings," select EXPIRED listings and select the REPOST button
If you would like the listing to repost every day, you can add that option on the UPGRADE page. The cost for that upgrade is $300 per month.
2. Once the listing has been removed, you can post a new one in its place by clicking POST LISTING and type out the listing again. (FREE)
You can change the phone number on an existing listing by logging in and clicking "My Listings". Then click EDIT TEXT and change the phone number on the listing.
If you have a change on your account, please let us know the old phone number and the new phone number so that we can modify the account and so it will correctly display the next time you post a listing.
We support .jpeg, .jpg, .png and .gif file formats with a Max file size: 3MB. If none of that works, try posting the listing first without the photo. Go back to "My Listings" and click on 'Edit' under the listing you want to post the photo in. Go through the process of uploading your photo. There is a time out function on the posting process and not on the editing process, so the above process should work. If you still have a stubborn photo you can email it to us as an attachment, along with the listing number, and we will post that for you. Email it to [email protected]
Listings that are posted today are placed in a 24-hour exclusive hold for our club users (Fan and Club) to view first. After the time period is up they are viewable to the rest of the public the next day. You can view these listings in the "Early Access Listings" section of the site or by clicking on "Listings By Day". The default date is always today's date. You can view other dates by changing the date in that field. If you want to see a listing that has been placed today in an exclusive hold you can wait until the next day or upgrade to our Fan Club membership HERE
Congratulations on posting your listing. When a listing is posted we display it as an Early Access listings for the first 24 hours. Early Access listings are only visible to our trusted club members. This makes sure your listing is being seen by these users first before the rest of the users.

Concierge service is a paid service that we offer to our users who would like us to post an listing for them. We understand that sometimes technology isn't your friend or you simply do not have the time to sit down, create an account and post a listing. For that reason we now offer a concierge service where we do the work for you. If you don't have an account, we will create one for you. We will then talk with you about the item and post your listing for you. The only thing you will have to send to us is photos. On the first page of the posting process a user sometimes accidentally clicks the page before filling out the RECAPTCHA. Unfortunately, there is not a way to get it to regenerate but you can get around this issue if you create an account first. Once you create your account the listing that you started should be placed into your account as an unfinished listing. If for some reason it was not placed in your account, please contact us so we can see if we can find your unfinished listing for you.
There are two ways to post a video to your listing. If you have a YouTube video, you can copy the video link, or if you have a video on your phone or computer, you can upload it directly. This can be done when you create the listing or can be added in after. You can upload a video up to 100MB in the following formats: MP4, MOV, OGG, WEB, and OG. It's a $10 upgrade for Basic or Fan Club members and FREE for our Pro Club members.

Whenever you are viewing results either in a category or after a search, there are 3 tabs at the top of the results that allow you to filter the listings by, "all," "private sellers" and "dealers." If you click on any of those tabs, it will automatically filter your results. For example if you were to click on the "private seller" tab you will only see listings that have been posted by private sellers.
Every sellers listing has two Message Seller buttons that lets you send a message directly to a seller. The message will be emailed to them and they can decide whether or not they want to contact you back. Users also have the option to provide a phone number on their listing. You may contact them directly with the phone number on the listing. Please note that sellers do not have to include a phone number (although most of them choose to include it). The phone number can be found at the top of the listing, above the photo on the right hand side and also at the bottom of the listing in the "About The Seller" section.
There can be two reasons for this.
1) You are either not logged in or are a basic user and are seeing Early Access listings. We only show 3 Early Access listings to non logged in users and basic users. Please see more information here about exclusive listings: https://www.racingjunk.com/earlyaccess
2) The category or results that you are viewing only have a few listings that were posted today. If you are looking at a refined search or some of our smaller categories, this certainly can lead to only a few listings being posted today.
Early access listings are only open to our select membership levels (Fan or Pro). These members receive exclusive 24-hour access to view these newly posted listings before they are available to the rest of our site users. An Honor Member is someone who has successfully used the site to sell their item(s) and has made an Honor Payment to us as outlined in our site agreement. To reward members that send us Honor Payments we put the Honor Member icon on their listing. This prestigious icon is visible to all individuals that browse or search the listings. It lets potential buyers know that they are dealing with a reputable seller that supports RacingJunk.com. Your Honor Member Level will change accordingly.
In the "My Listings" section of your account you will see a "Honor Payment" button at the bottom of every listing you post. Click on that button and it will direct you to the location to make a payment. There is also a link in the drop down that pops up when you hover over your name in the top right hand corner of site that will take you to the same location. No, any member whether Basic, Club RacingJunk or Business can use the rating system.
1) RacingJunk messages: These are messages sent from RacingJunk. They can not be deleted. They all have a default expiration date and will delete when the message expires.
2) User Messages: These are messages sent from users of the website.They work similar to typical email. When a user sends a message to your ad through our "message seller" contact form the ad will be sent to your email but also a copy will be placed in your messages. You are able to reply back to users, delete messages and control your message notifications.
3) Push Notifications: These are different from message notifications. This is where we would list any notifications that you would have signed up for. You can update your notifications from. your my account page.
A message that is sent to you through our "Message Seller" form will be sent to your email and also copied in your "Messages" inbox. You can view your messages by clicking on "Messages" on the very top of the website on the icon with your initial.
If a person is not logged in or is not a message of our site you will not be able to use our messaging system to send a message back to them.
You can not delete these message because they have an expiration date and will be removed automatically once they expire.
When a person sends you a message we, by default, automatically send it to your email address that we have on file. If you would like to have it sent to a different email address, you can change it in your message notification center. We can supply you with any listing and account info if you are taking legal action against a scammer. You can email the documentation that proves you are taking legal action against this person, i.e. court papers or a letter from an attorney. We then will disable the account, and provide a legal entity with member/ad/message information that will help you with your case against the scammer.
It is very important that our members notify us of any potential scams or scammers right away. There are a couple of different ways that you can report a scam to us
In addition to informing us of potential scams, we strongly encourage our members to use an ESCROW account to complete any transactions that you are not making in person. We encourage members to use an escrow service to make sure that your transaction is safely done. An escrow service protects both parties involved in the transaction. Buyers receive and inspect the merchandise before the Seller is paid. Sellers receive their money if the Buyer accepts the merchandise. For more information go to www.escrow.com.
